Content is King

What is your website going to be about and where is its content coming from? Since you'll be working this site for a while and keeping the content fresh, it's best to choose a topic you are either good at and/or interested in. Don't worry if the idea doesn't seem popular. Why not have the only site on some topic no one has touched. Then, all the other people in the world also interested in that topic would be your best visitors.

You could also put a new spin on an already popular topic. If it's good, people always want more.
