If you have relevant content, then people will find you by searching using sites like Google and Yahoo!. If your site is linked to by some already popular sites, than search engines may find your site from them. You can help this process along by submitting your site manually. A good place to start is DMOZ since other search engines look there.

If visitors like what they find on your site, they will want to share it with others. Make it easy by offering a "Send to Friend" function on each page of your site. Sometimes your best marketers are your fans.
